Hi i will be purchasing the marine version of this aircraft shortly and cant decide wether to purchase the blackbox cockpit or just go with the tamiya one, i have done plenty of searches and have been unable to find detail photos of the tamiya cockpit, so has anyone built this kit ootb or used the blackbox set? all opinions and advice are most welcome and appreciated. Cheers Bob.

I done the phantom, actually my very first plane project. I really enjoy the build of it. The kit cockpit in my opinion is good enough. But of course in 32nd scale, any more detail you can add with an after market is gonna be a bonus.

You will enjoy this kit. I know I did.

How much detail do you want? the cockpit from the box worked fine for me. But it is your choice how much detail (and money) do you want to add to your AC.

Hey Bob here's a in box feature on the Marine F-4J 1/32
This is a great kit..though the cockpit is a little weak it's still workable. I have this kit and went with the Black Box cockpit, much better looking.
