I'm building the Surcouf for Garry's Dive, Dive, Dive campaign and I was wondering if any of you air types know what color the scout aircraft would have been painted? The instructions don't give a really good idea of the color, or colors, to use.

Hi Rodger
There's an interesting MSN site dedicated to the Surcouf which has a photo of the seaplane apparently painted Gris Hydravions overall, with either a white or n/m nose.
According to an old Vitochart colour reference card, Gris Hydravions is similar to F.S. 36270.
Hope this helps

Thanks for that link Rowan. Not only did it give me a better idea as to the aircraft, but an unusual paint job for the boat herself. Prussian blue topsides with tan deck and red lower hull. That should make an interesting paint job.
