very nicely done. I am thinking of getting this kit and doing the Australian version. Are there any things to look out for while building it?

Great Job! I bought one of these late last year but have had no chance to start it as of yet. I hope mine comes out close to the quality of yours. Again great work.

A very nice build you got there.

Just one little thing I'm wondering about (sticking my head out here since I don't have reference on the actual airplane), but shouldn't the identification code be the other way around? With NF in front of the national insigna and the O behind?

Correct me if I'm wrong.

thanks!

Tamiya's instructions shows 4buffalo's
1 navy subject, a dutch, 2 british.
One of the british has the marking like i've done them, the other one has them the other way.
It can be wrong ....but hey i'm just beginning to explore the wonderfull world of aircraft models.
It's the first time my window masking did work well .
On the other hand i think my weathering is too heavy.
One of the first fighters i painted using my new airbrush. I'll think of it next time.

After checking the instructions (figured out that I have the same kit at home...) I found out that you have the codes in the right direction, but you used the wrong codes for the aircraft with that registration number. The airplane you built (W8245) should have the code RD-D. But instead you have used the code NF-D, and that plane has registration W8138...

But that doesn't change the fact that it's a beautifully built kit. Just me being picky.

Very nice, I agree with you that the weathering, or rather the exhaust staining is a bit on the heavy side. The best way to do this IMHO is to heavily thin the exhaust colour, lower the air pressure and build up the staining gradually. The trick is knowing when to stop.
I have this model part built, the reason it never got finished is that I was unable to mask the canopy frames. You have done a superb job.
