Well, got a little bit more done; Was going to edit my first post, but can't change the title... Anyhoo, a few more pics; I know I kinda overdid the weathering under the wings, gonna fix that... However, I'm lookin' forward to starting on my 1/24 Stuka I won off of eBay...

Hi,

I agree with the weathering. The Corsair you made was carrier-based and the weathering would not include any mud,sand,etc..
Another thing i'd say is the color of your model,it looks a little too light to me (could just be me or the pictures).
Is it airbrushed or handpainted?

I'd like to see the finnished model!
if you fix the weathering i'm shure it will look very nice.

cheerz Q.

PS; Here's a pic of my corsair 1D

Nice looking bird Q

Actually, mine is based on the timeframe after Corsairs were found to have problems landing on Carriers because of the poor frontal vision; I figured I'd go with a version that would be based out of an airfield on a Pacific island (a la Black Sheep).

The painting was done with a rattle can, except for the weathering which was done by drybrushing. Yeah, the camera flash washed out the color a bit, it's a little darker than shown; Will look better after I dull coat it.
