Very cool pics, Phil.
Anybody know what these pilots are wearing? I am tempted to say that it is an NBC set-up because the suits are kinda shiny but I don't know.
Almost makes 'em look like those guys from Star Wars.

They do Kinda look like they're Imperial Stormtroopers, but i believe it's called the Air Warrior system. it's an NBC suit/ Air breathing filtration system.

Many of the crewchiefs / flight engineers wear these masks as standard in dusty areas. They house the microphone, protecting it from wind noise. They also protect the crewmen from the blown dust of a desert landing. Sadly we, the RAF don't have a similar system and rely on shemaghs and ski goggles with our helments.

If I'm not mistaken the sandstorm pic is from Al Asad airbase. I spent the last couple months there preparing for re-deployment home. Thanks for sharing. "Q"

That picture was on the cover of Stars and Stripes about a week ago. Turrettoad sent me an email with several photos taken by a KBR employee that everyone sees now.
