I just finished my entry for the Double Take-campaign - a Swedish J27 "Åskbollen".
This is my 5th model and my first "what if". I had lots of fun buiding the kit (the rather basic Hasegawa P-47D in 1/72). The whole story + more pictures can by seen under the campaign. I would love your feedback!!
Cheers!!

Not an aircraft guy, but the p-47 is one of my favorite, one of my patients husband flew p-47's in the ETO and was shot down in 44 and spent the rest of the war as a p.o.w. Great stories and great guy, unfortunately passed away a few years ago before I could finish the one I was working on for him. You have done a great job on a what if.

Robert

Wow...looks great! Especially since it's a 1/72. I thought it was a 1/48th kit when I first looked at it!
Well done!

Great job Polar Bear and I love your story...Great imagination. The moose hunt thing still has me smiling :-)
That is a really cool looking P-47.
I havn't looked yet, so if you all ready have then disregard this. But be sure to put some of your finished pics in our campaign gallery.
Good modeling,
Wayne

Thanks for all the nice comments... Much appreciated!
With regard to the moose hunting business. I just found some plastic moose in HO-scale. Who knows, I might be going for my first diorama!!! :-) :-)
