Stepping back into what I started modelling Oohhhh so many years ago...Little Chief and I are planning a Chiefs Mess Group Build at the USS Blakley house. We each have a P-40 Kit and are in need of some refrences. His is a Monogram P-40E and Mine is an AMT P-40F with AMTEC resin nose. Any of you airdale bubbas have a list of books to go get? How about a list of AM PE and Resin goodies? We are really looking forward to this joint effort and I'll post pics too! Cheers!

Hi Lauren
Detail & Scale Volume 62 - P-40 Warhawk Pt. 2 from Squadron Publications covers the the P-40E and 'F in plenty of detail and should be a big help in your builds.
Looking forward to seeing the finished pics.

try the Squadron In Action book on the P-40 #26. Or try my favorite book; Osprey Modelling #15 , Modelling the P-40 , Hawk 81,Tomahawk, Warhawk and Kittyhawk. It's got some great pics of models and how to's.

Lol! I reviewed the Osprey P-40 book and forgot to mention it! But, by the same token, there's also Squadron's excellent Walkaround - which covers different aspects to the In Action and Detail & Scale.
You should be OK with this little lot!
All the best

Ben
Some really great links. I have Trumpeters 1/32 P-40 and the Cutting Edge cockpit and the links will help. Can never have enough good reference right.
