I have heard rumors about this model and company. Does anyone have any info on it and possibly a link. I ahve several of the old, but good, 1/32 Revell UH1D's and have been waiting for a 1/35 D version.

MRC did a pair of UH-1s a few years ago. They are still hiding on a few shelves here & there. A UH-1D model would be nice, hopefully it will sell.

I actually found the kit myself after some searching. There are two versions shown at Great Models Webstore. There are just photos of the actual helo's on the boxes. Here they are.
UH1D First Cavalry
UH1D Gunship
By the way. The MRC UH1B and UH1C models are great. I have a few of each and I would recommend them any day. I hope these D models are just as good.

I too would be interested in any input about these kits.
Many miles in both the Delta and Hotel versions, and it's gonna be a sad day (for me anyway) in a year or two when the last of the H Mods are retired.
Thanks,
Kevin Keefe

Posting from work, so I don't have my bookmarks here, but the Heli-kit news (monthly updated helicopter interest group) archives would have all the info I have seen.
So far I know ( or think I know) Panda is somehow affiliated with Dragon/DML/SHanghai Dragon, the kits have been seen at Toyko and Chicgo (?) shows, they are to be released 'soon' but that is about all I've heard.
Try heli-kit.
I'll try to look tonight and post a link as well.
Mike

Guys,
I got them in the shop I work at. They are pretty nice. Lots of room for super detailing. The instrument panel is a waterslide decal. The seats are very nice, seperate armor tubs. No weapons of any kind are provided. Hope Dragon re-issues there Vietnam Helicopter Crew set. The detail on the outside is very clean and crisp.
DEFAINATLY BUY THEM!!!!!!!!!!

Pete,
I am really interrested in this kit. If I can't find them locally (not likely, only 1 Hobby Shop in Ft Stewart area), could I send you a money order and you send me one from your shop? What is the going retail price? Thanks.

Gino,
Im sorry, I just rechecked this post.
We only got 3 in, well, the rep from IMEX brought them to us. Last I saw, this past Saturday, we only had one left, but had more on order.
Call this toll free number and ask for Bill or Jay and see if we got more in or if we still have the one left. 1-800-274-8076
They where going for $29.
I am not sure who else is going to carry them.

Howdy all,
Just picked up the new Panda 1/35th scale Huey Delta kit at my local hobby shop (Colpar).
For the record it looks just great. As has already been stated, exterior detail looks crisp. Don't know yet about part's fit. I bought the kit with long denied plans for an MRF 'Nam dio idea I've had for awhile. (finally, a 1/35th early Huey).
They also make a 'Wasp' version (same kit, plus gun). Price at Colpar, $24.95. They had 4 of each yesterday, I stopped there today to pick up a magazine and they only had 1 'D' kit and 2 'Wasp's' left. So, must be some interest.
Tread.
Gee, now if only I could find some armament in 1/35th scale.....

Has anyone tried to fit the old DML flex mount M60's into the new kit yet? Yeah, I know it's a little early..
I also saw on their to be released list that they are releasing a version with a set of crew figures. Will these be a rerelease of the DML guys?
Did the D have those style mounts, or was it a bungee from the ceiling sort of affair?
Drooling and waiting for them to get to VLS or Vermont, whichewver comes first..

Mike,
The UH1D did use the M60 flex mount in the DML Helo Crew kit. It should fit just fine. I have two of the DML figure kits and plan to add the door gun flex mounts as well when I can get my hands on the kit. The bungee cord (actually medical rubber tubing) was used on the B and C model (shorter body, single window crew door) as represented by the excellent MRC kits.
Here is a photo of a B/C model UH1 B/C
And an N model (Twin engine USMC version) with M60 flex mount UH1N w/ flex mount
Here is an idea for a version to make out of the Panda kit. UH1D Spec Ops
