This is my first a/c attempt in a long time. I decided to go with the Corsiar, due primarily to this obsession I have with the plane. This kit is straight out of the box. The fit was almost perfect. A few spots had to be sanded down or puttied.

So far, I have done the paint, applied 2 coats of Future and the decals. All that is left is the weathering (add some oil streaks, chipped paint, etc.), the canopy (I am waiting for my E-Z Masks) and then I am gonna put another coat of future.

As far as the quality of the pics go, I am sorry but it has been raining down here in SC for a few days.

Hi Chris,

Nice work so far. The folded wings have come out pretty well.

Some input from my side:
1. The tyres look like they have been painted with Gloss Black. AFAIK, they shouldn't be so shiny! I haven't seen any tyre that has that kind of a shiny appearance. You'll need to probably use Flat Black or a Dark Flat Grey instead.
2. For the air intakes on the wings, have you used any screen mesh? Or is it solid plastic? You can probably improve it by using a fine drill bit in a pin vise, and drilling holes in a cross hatch pattern. I know this is difficult after you have put it in, but it will add realism to your plane.
3. The propellers seem to have small white marks on them, Are they dust? or chipped paint? Or is it a camera problem?
4. The wing control surfaces are not equally painted. (Pic 002). The left one shows white(or kit colour), while the right one is showing paint.
5. Is the interior colour of the cockpit correct? It looks like blue to me, while Interior green was the prescribed one, AFAIK...
6. Are you adding wingtip lights? You can use an old clear red or green plastic toothbrush or clear plastic if you have it.

Otherwise, good model so far ! Good Work ...

Cheers,
BP.
