Hi there

The engine you're after is a Daimler Benz DB 601 and a web search brings up masses of pics - too many to list!

All the best for the model show. Post some pics of your build and here's to you bringing back a Gold!

Hi George

Give us a shout if you need any more help tracing pics of the engine.

I don't actually support any football team - but I'm very pleased for all Liverpool supporters. Likewise, congratulations to Greece for winning the Euro Song Contest... but I'm not sure if that's an honour or a condemnation.

I'll be in Athens this time next week, so I'd better learn the winning song and be careful what I say!

All the best

Rowan

Hi George, this months Military in Scale has photos of a recently renovated BF-109E-3 including some excellent photos of the engine and plumbing. If you have access to that magazine in Greece go and pick up a copy.

I second that. I got a copy the other day and it's an absolute must for openeing up a 109 - I think the reviewer used the same detail set with some added wires.

When you've done your Messerschmitt, there are plenty of other subjects in there to whet your appetite, in 1/72 and 1/48 - how about doing a Spitfire as a companion piece?
