I just cracked the seal on the Revell of germany kit, my only beef about Revell of Germany is the instructions, they arent the best and often are confusing, especially when it comes to paintings. So, here is my question. Ive seen Skyraiders in Grey shade and a few in green/brown camo.

What was more common back then?,

Im using mostly Model master paints, can anybody recommend a MM paint color for the two schemes aboove?

Finally, anybody out there doing this kit?, how is it?

Thanks in advance

Camo - AF & Special Operations Wings, standard three tone SE Asia Camo over Grey...

Grey - Grey over white (U.S.N. & Marine Corps) However, I have seen pics of Spads painted Green over white.

Common SE Asia Camo was Med. Green, Tan and OD...Jim

Hi Jim

LOL! What a thing to say when Propboy's only just opened the kit!

Tamiya's model is certainly superb, but the Revell kit is a re-box of the old Monogram classic, which can still look good and is a heck of a lot cheaper than Tamiya's beauty. I've got both on the shelf and I won't ditch the old one just yet.

All the best

Hi Jim

The SPAD-build I'm psyching myself up for one day is Esci's old Royal Navy version. If I ever tackle it, I don't think it will be so much "updating" as a declaration of war against the kit!

All the best

Rowan
