Here is my second CH-46, 1/48th from Academy. Used MM grays and the brighter colors are from Tamiya. A big thanks to Graywolf and Gater for the stars. The rest of the decals are just from many sheets and dry transfers.

WOW Mother! That is one outstanding model. I had to look twice at some of the photos to be sure it was the model. I know the last one is a real photo though. You did that bird proud!

Ditto everyone's comments Joe - I followed some of the pics you posted over at ScaleHobby's Forum. That is one eye-catching helicopter. I think you've got a knack for modeling them.

Time and again, I have said we need an emoticon for jaw-dropping! And I thought your first Frog was stunning...now you had to go and do this, wow!
The only thing I noticed is the transparancy of the stars and the numerals on the nose. I know not much can be done, other that carefully applying white paint over the number. Other than that....Wow!
Jeff

Howdy Joe,
DANG!!!!.....another beauty bud.
Your '46 is superbly done, and I applaud your taking on such a tough painting subject as well. But in your usual 'way', you have pulled it off amigo......nice work.
I have been wanting to build a '46 dio with mine perched 'ass-end-low' on top of a hot LZ hilltop in the 'Nam, but at first blush felt somewhat intimidated by your excellent work on your CH-46's.......but then, that's what all this sharing is about right?.....to help elevate all of our respective 'bars' when it comes to building miniatures.
Thx for sharing your finished work with us, I'm quite sure you have provided some delectable 'eye candy' for those of us who enjoy vehicles that beat the 'poop' out the air so beautifully!.......
