Is this kit as good as most of the other Pro-Modeler kits? And does it have raised pannel lines? Thanks for any help you can offer.

I built the Monogram boxing of the kit and was very pleased with it! That does not mean its a perfect kit, but it gives plenty to work with. The cockpit is simplified, yet it looks busy enough. The big problem here is that the canopy actuating mechanism behind the seat is nothing like the prototype. The problem can be easily rectified if you leave the canopy closed.
The fit of the wings is also iffy, but its just a matter of putting some filer in there. The decals are typicall Monogram. The kit also comes with PE for the intake screens and some doo-dads for the airframe and cockpit. The big difference between the Monogram and Pro-Modeler releases is that the later includes a bomb bay.
In regards of the panel lines, the F-117 doens't have any panel lines However, the few that are there on the real aircraft are recessed in the kit. The Tamiya kit is a considerably better kit, but it has panel lines evrywhere. If you decide to get that kit instead you will have to fill and sand all of the out.

Cheers,

Well it's going to happen for sure. I won one of these on E-bay for $10 +$5 shipping. I checked the retail price on the web (hard to find because it's OOP) and it retails for about twice what I paid with the shipping included. I am going to order the easy mask from squadron for under $3 and I will be ready to go after it. I have not built an aircraft since getting back into modeling in a serious way. That's all I built as a kid so I am anxious to do it. My heart is still with armor though

I have the Monogram hi-tech one (contains a small fret of PE). It is nice, but I do not know the accuracy of it since I don't follow these Stealth craft closely. FYI I did just find out the Italeri kit I built has the bomb bay doors wrong, they are built opening outward (like a B-17's) but should be hinged on the centerline opening inward.
