Are there any aftermarket accessories I can use to accurize this kit? Canopies? cockpit, weapon stations etc? Any resin or PE? Thanks for the help!

Yes, there are two sets that will help accurize the EA-6B. The cockpit set from Black Box is excellent and has just been re-released with early and late style instrument panels. The other set that really corrects the external features is the Cutting Edge Exterior Correction Set. Some of its features are new jamming pods, antenna's and tail fin strake. They are arond $32 and $40 respectively. Each of these company's also make wing fold sets.

Thanks alot Dan! How about replacement canopies? The clearset in my kit came broken and I really dont want to use the cheesy looking yellow tinted ones that come in the kit!

Hello The4thHorseman
I'm not sure how much your going into this build, or do you have any plans on entering it anywhere. Yes there are some aftermarkets kit out there that will help make this into a fine bird which by the way is one of my favorite. The kit suffer from bad reseach on Monograms part. The major errors of significance are:
The wing fold is the same used by the metal winged A-6 Intruders The Prowlers are has a torally different design, a large fairing on the outboard wing poylons and a much wider fairing on top of wing. Monogram used the wing from the Intruder kit.
The kit use's the same armor plating found on the Intruder kit, the Prowler never used armor plating. So these raised areas on the flanks of the engine, underneath the tail, and under the wings should be removed.
The refueling probe on the kit is molded to the left side of the fuselage and angles (left in front of pilot). The real probe angles 12 degrees away from the pilot
I could keep going on but like I said i'm not sure how much your getting into this. I your like more info and reference's, or even to build a accurate Prowler PM a e-mail and i'll help you along if you'd like.
I did four of the Prowlers and two Intruders and got heavy into each as I went along. My last one, I scratchbuilt the wing in their folded position. That was hard but fun. Not sure if i'll do that again

Hope you got the message that I would love to get the clear canopy for the EA-6B. Also I would appreciate any help/hints for the build...My plan is to build a diorama..on the flight line..sorta like pre-flight. I worked on these when I was in the Corps. I loaded the HARM! But I still am not all knowing about the differences between the kit and the real mccoy.
