Hi Jeepney,
I don't have anything against Academy. In fact, all my kits until 2-3 months back, and the ones which I have made so far are all Academy stuff. This is for the simple reason that there were no other brand avlbl here at the time(and still so

!). So do go ahead, and I hope you do the kit more justice than I did #:-) !
Only when I discovered Ebay, and the fact that there were other brands avlbl made me go for Monogram and other brands.
As for the Mike Ashey, nope

, it's not available online. However, you can get copies of it at Ebay,Amazon or InternetHobbies. Both his books are good, and I highly recommend them to any serious A/C modeller. Both of them are worth their weight in gold

!
1. Detailing Scale Aircraft
2. Model Aircraft Tips and techniques.
No 2 gives most of A/C modelling stuff in pictures, and is absolutely superb

. But it's not so easily available

.
Cheers,
BP.
