Does someone know what is the best liberator model to get? I really like this plane and would like to build the best rendition of it. Are there any update kits I sould get with the model?
Thanks in advance

My advice would be to just go with the Revell 1/48 B-24.For the price you cant beat it and Revell has always come through for me when I buy them(Except those darn P-51's)

Monograms Pro Modelers series 1/48 scale B24 is very good. I built it a couple of years ago and it was a very good kit.
It has good detailed panel lines, nice cockpit detail.
It comes with a PE panel for ammo belts seat belts etc.
Typical easy to read instructions.
It went together easily and with very little extra putty.
The canopy is nice and fits well too.
There are a number of figures in it and a nice tracktor also.
Overall I give it a very good recommendation.

Hey,
I bought the Minicraft 1:72nd B-24J "The Dragon and his Tail". It is a beautiful model with next to no flash. The Art work for the plane is dragon holding a naked lady (in decal form). The dragon runs the whole length of the plane. It is a pacific B-24 with overall silver. For reference picz check out www.b24bestweb.com. There a few picz of the original plane there as well. Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Bren

HI Hellcat ,
For 1:72 scale - look for Academy family , there is a lots of version of Your B-24 - I think they are the best quallity models on the market ,
For 1:48 scale - Revell/Monogram , ProModeller .
Best Regards

Hi Hellcat,
I'm doing the Academy B24D Liberator in 1/72 scale. It's a replica of the 'Blonde Bomber' captured by the Italians and later tested by the Germans.
Looks and matches the original one. I did some R&D on the Net for this plane, and it conforms to the original in more ways than one.
I'd recommend this model if you are interested. Also, there are very few reviews avlbl for B24D's out there, I dunno why
!

Have to go with the Revell 1/48 B-24. For the money it is a good one,and when it is done you can actuaaly see what you did. Makes a good looking plane with alittle work.
