How many 1/48 Soviet WWII aircrafts available in the market?
So far I only found two, Accurate Miniatures Ilyushin Sturmovik and Academy's Polikarpovs
Any other kits?

Russian aircraft..
For the moment, 1/72 scale seems to be more active, with the entry of Witty, AeroArt and Ixo Juniors (also known as Altaya), and the continuing vitality of 1/72 warbirds from both Corgi and Dragon. Of these, Altaya has announced a bunch of WWII russian airframes (including the Yak-3, Yak-9, IL-10, and IL-2), and has already released the MiG-3 in 1/72 scale. And while the others have been mum on the subject, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Corgi IL-2 in the near future, and suspect that Matchbox and Witty have some plans to release russian WWII types in 1/72 scale.
In 1/48 scale land, the field is a bit more spartan. Armour/FM is the only major (volume) player out there, and Marushin has stalled. I would be surprised to find many new moulds emerging in the 1/48 market any time soon, and the russian types probably aren't at the top of FM's list. Which is too bad. I'd love to have a Yak-3/9 or IL-2 in 1/48 scale.

Hi all!
Not much soviet aircrafts in 1/48? Well there are not as many as Luftwaffe, RAF or USAF but not that few!
These are the kits I bought so far:
Polikarpov I-16 (Academy)
Polikarpov I-153 (Classic Airframes) build
Mikoyan Mig-3 (ICM) build
Lavochkin La-7 (Gavia)
Yakovlev Yak-3 (Eduard)
Yakovlev Yak-7 (Alanger/ICM)
Yakovlev Yak-9 (ICM)
Petlyakov Pe-2 (HiPM)
Ilyushin IL-2 (Accurate Miniatures)
Sukhoy Su-2 (POMK resin kit)
And one I will definitly buy is the Polikarpov Po-2 (Gavia). An important biplane used by the Soviets despite the fact it was completely outdated! There is also a Polikarpov I-15 in 1/48 (Special Hobby).
In 1/32 scale Trumpeter did release a Mig-3 last year and Azur a Polikarpov I-16!
If you want to build 1/48 WW2 soviet planes you have to ask yourself the old question: "to short run or not to short run?" :-)

hi again,
The Soviet Air Force got significant lend-lease aircraft assistance from the West, especially the United States. In addition, the domestic aircraft industry managed to produce new types of aircraft in large series. The most important Western types were Airacobra, Tomahawk, Spitfire and Hurricane. The best examples of domestic production were La-5, Yak-9, Pe-2 and Il-2.
Maybe a nice idea for a change.

The Soviets also used the Dakota, the A-20 Havoc and the B-25 Mitchell. They also kept some B-29 that emergency landed on Russia's ground after bombing Japan! They even made a "clone" of the Superfortress called tu-4! You can read the story here
