Here are a few pics of my latest kit; Got off eBay for around $40 USD, excellent condition and molding for a kit made around '92 or so...

The engine...

Instrument panel...

Cockpit sidewall...

Still alot to do, just got my modelling area set up in my new house; I didn't realize 1/24 was so huge! Great for extra detailing tho...

Yes, looking very good. how did you get the coolant pipe looking so good, I'm interested in the colouring?
The exhausts are very well done too. Thanks for sharing, keep 'em coming please.

Ciao Don,
I have always loved the Stuka, and you are really doing a great job on it!! Man, that sucker is going to be huge, though.
Ciao for now

that pipe from the bottom of the engine looks real, if you painted that, how on earth did you do it? and i hate to be the first one to mention this, but do you know where it will go when its finished?

The piping was simple; Gave it a base of Testor's gold and followed up with a wash of thinner and flat black...

Got the cockpit done as well, will post more pics in the next few days...

Thanks for the kind words!

Looks great so far. I just started working on mine again after a long summer break from modeling. Prepare to be fustrated with this kit. The fit is horrible especailly the cowling around the engine which is what I'm suffering thru right now. Not to high jack your thread but here's a few picks of my beast:

If you have any questions or get stuck on a section, shoot me a note and I'll let you know how I got thru it. I'm much farther along than these pics. I'll take some updated ones if you're interested.

Nice work, and 1992 is probably the reissue date. IIRC the original issue date is late 70s (around 77-78)

Occasionally see reduced ones in MZ in Holborn and wonder, but I don't think I could do it justice
