I just received my Fw200c-4 Condor by Trumpeter. It looks like an incredible model. Huge in 1/48.
I am trying to collect the paint colors required. The instructions are lacking in this area. I have been able to match all Gunze colors to Tamiya, using various web sites. However, one eludes me. The front area of the cockpit calls for "116" unlike all the other colors, this one only has the white numbers on black text (oil I assume).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Illini
"116" is the Mr Color number for RLM 66. I think the nearest equivalent in Tamiya paints is XF-63.
I hope you show us some pics once you get started on this beast!
All the best

I will have to pic this up sometime, my mate who owns a model shop in Worksop has Trumpeter kits so I have avoided going in just in case he has one, cos I'd have to get it and funds are a bit short at the mo'. I was hoping to have the Wellington by now, maybe next year. I'm hoping they are getting it right and that is why they are taking so long with it

Thanks, I was finally able to find a site after your clue of Mr. Color vs. Gunze sanyo. It verified that it is indeed RLM 66 Black-Gray.
I will post some pics after I get the interior sub-assembly done.
