Is the Gallery voting working for you?
I managed a vote yesterday but nothing today.

Onother queastion. I ballsed up by putting full size pics in the voting thread, instead of thumbnails. Should I leave as is, or change to thumbnails?

i like the bigger pics, in one way only having the one full size pic of each model makes it easier to scan through them all when deciding how to vote, on the other hand theyre all exellent models, so at the moment iam still undecided (and i assume i cant vote for my own!) on another note how exactly do you vote in the gallerys? i cant find anything like a vote button. the model of the month is a great idea btw, keep up the good work mate!

Yes Phil, I quite like the bigger pics, but the idea of having thumbnails was to make dowloading the page quicker for those with dial up. It doesn't seem to have discouraged voting so if no one says owt against it it'll probably become a permenant feature.
The vote button is there word "vote" directly underneath each thumbnail. Looks like you can only vote once?

Hi Mal

Yep - it looks like we're allowed just one vote each in the Gallery - something we'll have to consider if we discuss which system to use.

I like the full-size pics in the thread too - as Phil says, it makes it easier to choose what to vote for without referring elsewhere.

All the best

Hi all!

I also voted only one time!

Another question: when voting, is the picture of the model important? Do we have to vote for one special picture of a model (the one in the voting thread). Does this matter?

And one more: how do we give 3, 2 or 1 point to each model? Do we have to vote for the three pics of the first, two for the second and one for the third? In this case what if we want to give three points to fanai and there's only two pics?

And the last: what if we click 10 times under the same picture?

Jean-Luc

P.S. Big images are good but I don't have dial-up so...

Hi Jean-Luc

If we ever go for the Gallery voting system, it looks like we won't be able to give 1st, 2nd and 3rd votes - it'll be one vote only.

The Forum system undoubtedly gives greater flexibility - but means a LOT more work for Mal! (Cheers Mal, we all appreciate the effort you put in every month ).

As more areas of Armorama adopt MoM, they'll probably be a call for a unified system - so that may mean using the Gallery... time will tell.

Try it and see! The whole point of this month's test is to iron out the wrinkles! I did an earlier test which produced some very odd results, but things seem much more stable now... Famous last words - I expect you all to go out there and do your darnedest to break the system!

All the best

I've just had a look and the "vote" is there but I'm not alowed to anymore. This is good in one respect, if we go that route. The 3 vote system is far more poular though.
