G'day Folk's,

This is the 48 Mauve kit [not the Eduard boxing of the same kit], this is A29-356 or SV-V of 76 Sqn RAAF, this was the mount of W.Cdr W. Arhtur who was O.C of 71 Wing, but this bird was involved in a T/O collision with a Spitfire sometime in November '43.

The Olive Drab is Humbrol #155, the Blue fin flash / spinner stripe, is Humbrol #14, the Neutral Grey is from the Humbrol Authentic Range, as the white tailplanes I used Boyd's Primmer White. The model is toned down with pastels as these where also used for the exhaust and gun port stains.

The decals are mixed from 'RedRoo' Faded Sky codes and Tasman "B" Type Roundals.

Hi Robert!

Interesting P-40! And good work too!

I have also a Mauve P-40 in my stash and the plastic of the kit is "fluo green!" Which color was yours? And how was the build, did you encounter any problem with the kit? Is the overall detail good?

That's a lot of questions! I know I'm very curious! That's why I choose the avatar with the biboculars! :-)
