I'm thinking of making either a sukhoi su27 or su 33, has anyone got any opinions on wether trumpeter is a decent build? if not, can anyone recommend any other manufacturers.
I'll be looking at either 1/48 or 1/72 scale, it depends on the price.

I read somewhere their 1/48 SU-27 is an Academy knock-off. Usually that means the details will be a little softer, but it should be a decent build. IIRC it was cheaper than the Academy offering too.

Yes the Trumpeter is the Academy knock-off.So is the HobbyCraft and Zhengdefu lol.Really its a piece of shinola because the canopy doesnt even fit right on it.Not only that but in my case I had to do alot of sanding and putty work just to get things looking like the actual aircraft.

Ditto on what everyone else said. Go with the Academy kit in 1/48 - it's simply the best kit of the Flanker in 1/48, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
