I have decided to put my 1:72 Revell Hawker Hunter on a display base depicting an aircraft carrier deck. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get the markings of a US carrier deck onto the base, ie. how big they should be?

Thanks for the great picture Rui Do you have any ideas how I can make the markings shown in the picture into the right size for a 1:72 aircraft base or should I just make a rough estimate?

Hi Tom
Hope this image helps. I reckon the deck planks scale out to about 2 mm in 1/72.
I think the picture was taken on one of the Essex class carriers as it still appears to have a wooden deck.
I also have this kit in my stash

Can scan instructions if you want.

Nice link ErTopo
Tom,
In accordance with the site that the ErTopo gave, the measures will have to be in 1/72 width
second line 3,33 mm
third line 12,67 mm
fourth line 5,33 mm
The first line (hatched) seem to be a little smaller than second.
It can be 1 or 2 mm to less?
