The new 1/48th scale kit, of course!
Or better yet, building one?
Any thoughts on the kit if you do have one or are building it?
I keep telling myself I don't need another huge (and expensive), unbuilt model aircraft. But the other side of my brain keeps saying, "but it's so cool". It would look so good next to my (currently unbuilt, but someday...) B-17, B-24, C-47, and Ju 52 :-) :-) :-)

I saw it advertised in the new Military Modelling mag the other day. The only Fw 200 kit I have is the venerable Revell one, which I am in the long-term process of tartng up (rivet and raised panel line removal, rescribing etc). Now this kit is quite large when built up so I imagine the Trumpeter one is going to be a bit of a beast.
Crazy idea - how about a forced perspective diorama with a Revell Type VIIC?

That is a sweet idea!
But then I'd have to purchase a really big submarine model to go along with a really big aircraft model.

I'd looked at that preview when it was published over at Hyperscale, but the the re-read has pushed me over the edge.
So I started looking at the internet shops to see what's available, and found the kit at Squadron, Greatmodels, and SprueBrothers. SprueBrothers has it in stock for $79.99, which is the best price of the three. Then I noticed that they are also having a 10% off sale on Trumpter kits this week. Mmmmm.
As the Borg would say "Resistance is futile". I ordered one.

That's the idea behind a forced perspective model, you can incorporate different scales in one scene - mind you the Revell U boat is a biggy in it's own right - the Andrea one is larger still (but very expensive!)
Or how about a small scale convoy with the Condor over the top?
