Esteban Murador (ModelAces) has submitted pictures of another of his great models - this time it''s a 1/48 scale tribute to Colonel John Landers, one of the very few fighter pilots in World War II to achieve the “ace” status in both the Pacific and European Theatres. This is the 1/48 scale Tamiya kit, improved with aftermarket parts such as accurate flaps, seat with seat belts, Squadron canopy, canopy brace, spinner and propeller blades.

Beautiful job Esteban, that's my favorite Mustang scheme and you've done a lovely job
Did you use the Tamiya decals or an AM set, also it that the Ultracast seat that you used?
Cheers

Esteban,
Yes, a beautiful model! I would also like to know about the decals/markings.

Thank you for your positive comments on this build. Actually, this is also one of my favourite aircraft. The BBD paint scheme has to be one of the best among all WWII fighters.
To answer your questions, I used the Tamiya decals as well as the Ultracast seat for this project. They are pretty good when it comes to after market parts.
