Here''s a look at Italeri''s amazing cut-price re-box of that all-time classic... Accurate Miniatures'' 1/48 scale Grumman TBF/TMB Avenger.

Nice review! Me wanted to go grab one of those, and since they're from Accurate Miniatures, I must say they're pretty nice kits

Hi Rowan!

Thanks for pointing out the Italeri kit is the same as Accurate Miniatures one! I don't have the kit in my stash so far but I'll surely go for the Italeri one as soon as the kit hits the shelves here.

Me too Mal!

AM's Avenger is just about my favourite kit of all time - and you never know how long licence deals like this will last...

All the best

I am hoping it goes on my hobbyshop's shelf soon too - especially after seeing the FAA option! Thanks for the review Merlin. Very informative.

Rowan,

Excellent review, I'll be getting a couple of these to add to the collection myself.

There's no wing fold option with the kit. However, there were some after market wing fold sets but I don't recall who made them or if they are still available.
