Didn't someone say that they were going to make such a kit. I know of the HML resin kit, but a little out of my price range at the moment.

Closed up the fuselage on the Condor last nite and wings are drying as we speak. By this time next week paint will be appied.

I haven't heard that rumor myself, but I certainly hope it is true! I'd definitely buy at least one.

Can anyone substantiate this? (Please?)

Hi Don!

It seems MPM planned to do an injected 1/48 He 177... but the info came out last year, so I'm not very optimistic as we never heard of it since!

I hope I'm wrong because I would definitely get one! In 1/48 scale it would make a lot of plastic!!!

MPM still has it as a "to do" on their website...I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Side note question: on the FW-200 do you think it should be 72/73/65 or 70/71/65 for the camo colors??
The colors are very close and many cannot tell the difference between the too. Harder in black and white pics to tell the difference.

I too would buy a 1/48 He 177 if it appeared, but I won't hold my breath.
As the Condor is a maritime patrol aircraft it would almost certainly be painted RLM 72/73.

I received an email from MPM and they said to look for it, and I quote........"in the beginning of next year"

Hmmmm! This could mean there's an MPM trickle-down effect... at this rate we may actually see short-run injected kits of an Hs 126 and Fw 187 before too long...

Give it time... getting an He 177 right is huge project, so I won't hold MPM to a date. Just to know it's coming is good enough!

I think it's safe to say, we'll keep you up to date with news of this one!...

All the best

Hi Rowan!

The HS 126 is a plane that MUST be produced! It was widely used by the Luftwaffe and played an important role in the early stages of WW2. It is not as glamorous as a Bf 109 but would make a very attractive model with lots of paint shemes!

I build the 1/72 Matchbox one in my childhood. It was made of green and blue plastic... and probably crashed in flames in my garden!

I was thinking the same thing. The Hs-126 was used on most fronts and except for a costly, hard to find OOP resin kit it is overlooked in 1/48.

MPM or Classic Airframes are you listening...........

(Thinking of a desert scheme in 79/80/78...........)

... that would make three builders wanting the HS 126... maybe we could ask Tamiya! :-)
