By coincidence, the Site Aviation editor was expressing his hope that DML would soon get back into production of aicraft kits. Now it seems as if Dragon are back in the aviation kit business, with the announcement that October will see the release of a 1/72nd scale kit of the German Arado 234. The news story covers some of the details of the new kit along with the usual selection of photos and can be seen:

Hi Jim....
just what the doctor ordered....can I feel a Crimbo present in the offing?
Don't fret Jim lad....
Sharkit has posted a "let us know" section on their web site featuring possible future British experimental/secret concept aircraft.
If enough interest is shown, Renaud will probably do some.
At long last
Cheers
Peter

One final point in all of this, when are we going to get some allied aircraft of this type?

I love the closing line too... And with it you beat me to posting something similar.
But, where are my M3 halftracks?????
BTW - I actually build Allied armor and Luftwaffe aircraft - go figure

if dragon is really going back to (ww2 etc.) aircraft again, whether it is 1/72 or 1/48, then it is a real wonderful news! i've built a few back then and they were really good kits.

Anyone notice the similarities in the cockpit of the Arado to the Mohawk? Now i'm pretty damned sure that the Aado was pretty heavily evaluated after the war and it wouldn't surprise me that hundreds of design concepts found their way into U.S. Aviation...Jim

Nice one Jim!
... and seeing as you already did the "why can't we have more Allied stuff like this?" gig, I'll just add that this would look much better in 1/48 scale!
All the best

Good thing DML haven't forgotten their airline business. Hope to see more in the future, in both 1/48 and 1/72 that is
