This Squadron/Signal publication, by Bill Holder, certainly gives you an idea of what it must have been like to fly through the flak and fighters over Germany during WWII. From a modellers point of view there is a certain lack of detail, in some areas. Overall though this title is well worth having because of the background information it contains. Particularly if, like me you are currently building Monogram''s 1/48 B-24, makes it seem almost necessary to add battle damage.

Cheers Mal

Nice review! Does the book cover the Navy PB4Ys? I'll be positive and say when (not if) I start my Koster PB4Y-2 conversion, I'll need all the refs I can find.

Hmmm - maybe I could build it for bombs away... now that WOULD be fun!

All the best

Rowan
