The Mossie is one of my favorite airplanes, and I'd like at least one of the later marks in my collection. Toward that end, I've been searching for reviews/commentary on 1/48th scale Airfix DeHaviland Mosquito B MkXVI/PR XVI kit, and have come up empty.
Can anyone who has said kit give me a synopsis of the good, the bad, and the ugly about it? While I don't think there will be anything said that would stop me from buying one, I'm curious if there are any major problems with the Airfix offering.
Thanks in advance!

Mossie is one of my favourite aircraft as well. I have the Airfix kit in my stash. Basicly it's their old (1980 ??) MkVI kit with bits added to do the B MkXVI/PR XVI. With a few spares one could a make a MKVI as well.
The bad. The MkVI parts are the biggest trouble spot, detail and fit wise.
The ugly. mating MKVI parts to the MKXVI parts. Aweful fitting the wings to the fuselage. for this reasin the kit has been reinserted into the stash.
The good. Price and the new MK XVI parts. Good detail and relative easy fit.
Hope this hasn't discouraged you.
