Hasegawa have filled a glaring gap in their range with the announcement of a new-tool Fw 190 A-3.

lol, Guess what? DML has also announced a new 190 as well, like waiting for buses, 6 turn up at the same time. This time the new one is a Fw190A-7 "Doppelreiter" with the wing mounted Slipper Tanks... Curious...Jim

Wow ! Nice one Jim.

I wonder if there's some shared research and tooling behind these releases. Either way, I'm going to need a bigger stocking this Christmas!

All the best

Like I always remember myself saying....

"You can never have enough FW-190's"

Honest, I've always said that...

I have not been here long enough to know that that was the wrong thing to say............

I'm looking forward to this one. The Tamiya kit is odd-looking, and Trimaster/DML/Dragon never produced the shorter nosed 190As. Now, if someone would produce the 190A V1 in 1/48 . . . I had to settle for MPM's 1/72 kit for the prototype.

Hi Don

It's just that Mal (Holdfast) is our staunchest Spitfire fan and his catchphrase is... "You can never have too many Spitfires".

Of course, if you only want the butcher-birds as targets, he can hardly complain! :-)

Hi Don,
It is true that "You can never have enough FW-190's" because my Spitfires, of which "you just can't have too many of" will always see them off
So when is the Fw 190 group build?

DML had an A-4 a few years back (have one in my stash) and Hasegawa was re-boxing DML 190s for the Japanese market I believe. This could be a reissue of that kit. Hope they fix the landing gear geometry if it is.

Hi Ardell

The word is this one is all-new - I hope so. Like Bill, I've never been totally convinced by the Tamiya '190s. The Trimaster / Dragon are generally recognised as being more accurate (but not without faults), but the moulds are definitely showing their age and original Trimaster kits are getting thin on the gound...
