I saw this modern Russian helicopter gunship kit assembled at a model contest a year or so ago. It looked like a neat helicopter and it also appeared to have gone together fairly well. I purchased one this evening and was satisfied with what I saw in the box. The kit looks fairly comprehensive for 1/72nd and has good molding detail. I have a few questions though.

Has anyone on this board built this kit. Does this kit actually go together as well as it looked?

Does anyone know of any good references for paint schemes on these helicopters? I don't believe this helicopter is actually in service but was hoping to find photos of one in some sort of tactical scheme. The paint guide provided in the instructions is only for one bird painted flat black.

As always, any help or advice is appreciated.

You may want to paint the Ka-52 with the camo used by the Ka-50 Black Shark since the Alligator was based on it.
