I'm sorry Jim, my fault; I'm not a frequent visitor to the aircraft-forum and just thought some people would be very happy to see this.

Ch47 is a heli. This is the right forum. This was my first choice when i searched for the news. I did'nt see the other treat and would not have searched at the place it was posted. So thank you for it

Yes, of course. What doesn't change the fact that helicopter IS an aircraft.

thought the sub forums shall help to navigate thru the site. Do you think we should start hide and seek or what?

I was originally going to post this here within the Helicopter Forum, however, when I got the original information, there was also a 1/32nd scale Intruder. I therefore decided to post in the Aircraft Forum with NO GROUP ASSOCIATION...Hope that makes everything clear...Jim

Sure, but when news about several various subjects from one manufacturer appear at the same time, it wouldn't be practical to post several small messages in several groups. It is much better to find some common denominator. In this case Aircraft / Modern-USA was best option, as both announced models are modern US subjects and both are aircraft. The way groups work now you cannot limit your searches to only one narrow group or you will be missing lots of info. The best thing would be if one thread can be associated with several groups, but no such possibility exists currently.

This is good to know (no matter where it is posted ) The interior detail looks pretty good, at least from what I can see of the exterior shots.
Are there -D versions or AM conversions to the -D variant out there?

Yup, the Hook is big news on a bunch of the forums. The buzz is that Trumpeter is going to release an A and a D model. There may also be an MH-47 in the future as well. Hope so. I would love to have one to go with my MH-6J MELB and MH-60L DAP. A whole slew of SOAR aircraft. If the MH doesn't come to fruition, I may have to convert one.

Yup, great minds think alike. I think it may actually be 3 of us at least who could be working on it. Avus, over at FSM has said he would probably convert one as well. Maybe if we all do it, Trump' will come out with the MH in kit form.
...(scratch)Build it and they will come (in kit form)....
