I used to fight forest fires, and this is the exact tanker that we use. Tanker 85.

Nice idea to build a plane you flew with! I wish I could do the same...

Wow! I bet you've got some stories you could tell one day!

The model looks great - and I look forward to seeing more pics when it's finished. One small point - in the photos of of the full-sized a/c, is the canopy framing black? Hard to tell - but better I ask now than after you've finished.

The one I built was an Academy 1/72 PBY-5a the black cat model. It wasn't bad the fit was real good it has great rivet detail, the only thing is it is missing some detail on the inside. But over all it was a good model to build.
