I am thinking of buying the Verlinden update set for the MRC AH1-W Super Cobra.

The thing is, the Cobra I bought is Academy's version. I hear somewhere that MRC and Academy 1:35 kits are the very same.

Will the Verlinden set work in my Academy then?

Tapper the Verlinden detail set will work for you as the Academy kit is the same kit as the MRC kit.

OOOPS! ONE MORE QUESTION...........

I'm a little sketchy as to what is all included in the Verlinden kit. Does it include the resin cockpit or just some PE? I ask because Verlinden's box art tends to be somewhat exagerated as to just what you get with their kits.

Yup, MRC/Academy and the Italeri rebox are all the same model. AFV Club also reboxed it as a limited release of a Hong Kong Army version with some resin detail parts included as well.

I haven't tried the Verlinden set. I have heard it is quite inferior to the Cobra Company NTS upgrade set though. I have also heard it is a pain to get the cockpit to properly fit into the fuselage. I would go with the CC set myself.
