Again thanks guys and for following my request to keep the voting simple, it certainly helps me when toting up the results.
OK, here's how it went:
The most number of 1st choice votes went to JPTTR and TedMamere with 7(21 points).
The most number of 2nd choice votes went to BrandydogUK with 7 (14 points).
The most number of 3rd choice votes went to Ladymodelbuilder with 5 (5 points).
26 members cast their votes, not as many as last month (38) but it was the biggest turnout yet with 16 entries and the first time a lady has joined in, glad to see you Penny, well done guys and gal.
Here's how we did (I have copied and pasted the spredsheet that I use to tally the votes this time, rather than list the vote in reverse order). (EDIT: looks OK when I am writing this but when posted all the numbers are bunched up, I will revert back to the previous system, next time)
JPTRR (B7A Ryusei ) 26
archerwin (J2M3 Raiden ) 4
betheyn (N1K1-Ja Shiden ) 3
matrixone (Ta 154) 11
IronFelix (MiG-29) 1
Silantra(F-14A ) 10
TedMamere (Fi 156 Storch ) 34
almonkey (Bf109) 1
CPTKelley (F/A-18E Super Hornet) 3
smithery (F-4J 'Marines' ) 29
archerwin (2) (Me-163B ) 2
wingman (P-47D) 3
Holdfast (F104,) 9
ladymodelbuilder (FM-2 Wildcat) 5
brandydoguk (Bf 109-E) 17
bf443 (P-51B ) 1
The votes were a little more spread out this time and, as you can see, the top 3 were pretty close, with the next 3 fighting it out for 4th place. There was a couple of hicups, those voting for archerwin didn't realise that he had entered 2 models so I spread the votes, plus there was 1 vote after the deadline. I would have let it go had it not influence the lower order, also I thought it prudent not to include it because of possible repercussions should this happen another time and the first 3 places are influenced.
Thanks guys and gal for the great turnout, both in the entrants and voting, lets see if we can top it this month.
1st TedMamere (Fi 156 Storch )
2nd smithery (F-4J 'Marines' )
JPTRR (B7A Ryusei )

Hi all!
So I won with a "circus" plane! that's funny! It shows the MOM is really an open minded "competition"...
Thanks to all who participated (entries and votes) and thanks Mal for the usual great work! Let me paraphrase you:
"lets see if we can top it this month"

Yes Jean-Luc it always interests me how each voter chooses their favourite and what would happen if critera was dictated. I am not disapointed but I am surprised that a 1/72 natural metal subject didn't do better. We must remember that this is really a photographic "competition" to a great degree. Some are better at taking pics than others. The improvement of digital photography on the forum was a stated aim of the MOM.
Don't forget we need a write up about your model, or more pics to do an "On Display" feature

Everyone,
Thank you for the votes
I tell you the truth, it took me until the end to decide how to vote Splitting hairs...so many great models.
Hard to decide what aspect of the model is most important--very subjective. As one who has tried making my own decals, Jean-Luc's effort stands out. A well done multi-tone NMF is always impressive to me, Mal. And scrachbuilding the "heart and lungs" of a 1/72 Komet from blueprints I just can't ignore. All three took a bit of research and preparation, no doubt as did all of these entries. The F-4J and the MiG-29, the Moskito and the Bf-109, Beeson's Mustang, The FM-2, et al....as Wellington said of Waterloo, "It was a close run thing."
Congratulations to you all

Hi. Congrats to all that entered their builds. Love the look of that Storch. Looking forward to seeing the next batch of entries for next month, Wingman out.

It is very difficult, I find myself putting off creating the vote thread because as the first voter I haven't usually decided which I will vote for.
Kevin,
I actually thought that you were going to win, at one stage you were just in the lead. It would have been great if you had, for a first timer and Fred always does well.
I don't think that Jean-Luc will mind me saying this and I hope that no one takes offence. I do believe that the method of photography is very influential. It is to me, although I do try and ignore it. Take a look at Matrixone's stunning pics. Mind you looking at Fred's B7A Ryusei again the "live" backdrop actually looks quite in scale? But of course this is all subjective, each will make his or her own choice and I certainly don't want to influence anyone. I do believe, also that each of us will be slightly bias towards our own, preferred method of doing things. I, for example, don't do many bases and photograph the majority of my models against a plain backdrop. So I'm drawn to the type of picture that reflects this (I think). If this is the case am I neglecting the likes of Matrixone's excellent photographic dio..............mmmmm, maybe. I'll have to think about that next time or if I entered something on a base would my vote angle in that direction.
sorry for going on but it is quite fascinating how members arrive at their vote.
Just to remind everyone and to make sure that any new comers to entering this are aware. At the end of the year there will be a Model of the Year vote. All placed entries over the year will be eligible.
Mal

Hi there
Congratulations to everyone involved - those were a particularly good crop of entries, so all the more credit to Jean-Luc for coming out on top.
I was really stuck on what to vote for... I kept putting it off - until, as it turned out, health problems prevented me voting for the first time (shame on me! ).
Anyway, Mal has said it before, but it bears repeating - any model (not winners) can be entered up to 3 times. The builds we've seen lately are so good, I really hope the entrants aren't discouraged and will re-submit them sometime.
All the best
Rowan

Jean-Luc! Congradulations. Your work is inspiring. All the winners had some great stuff to show this month. Hopefully I'll have something to enter by November!

Jean-Luc, I catch your drift! I'm hoping for a December MOM entry with the Stuka at this point. I work very slow plus this project is a learning experience for me in many ways. I'll post some more progress pics very soon. I'm done with the nose section, now I'm trying to get the wings to my liking. Lots of things wrong with this kit!

Hi Jim!
A Santa Claus Stuka! All in red with four deers! That would be cool!
More seriously, there is at least one person that is following your 1/24 Stuka project with big interest! But I'm sure there will be many more when you post some progress pics of your beast in the aircraft forum... for those who didn't already saw the interior pics, take a look here It really worth it!
Good luck with you Ju 87
