Here's a few pics of my latest build, Tamiya's 1/48 Spitfire Vb trop. I built it pretty much out of the box except for a set of Eduard prepainted seatbelts.
The camo was airbrushed using Hannants Xtracrylix dark earth/middle stone/azure blue.
I tried to show some semblence of the cockpit instrument dials by painting small white lines in each to represent the dial needles.
I used silver enamel to show worn areas of the paint, then used a wash of Burnt Umber to accentuate the panel lines and darkened them with pencil lead powder. Then the upper surface camo was faded with Mig pigments.

Your Tamiya Spitfire looks great! Much better than the Airfix one I have! I like the two tone brown paintscheme and the weathering very much. You seem to have found a very interesting way of doing panel lines...
Has someone build a desert scheme Spitfire in U.S. markings? I think the Spitfire with the stars looks great too! sorry for my british friends...
