Have any of you started or bought this yet? I got one for my birthday and an preparing to tackle all 300+ parts of it.

I must know any pitfalls and perils.

Hi Fred

1/32 isn't my usual scale, but I've got this kit. I haven't started it, but the review is on the way! Judy Crandall of Eagle Editions recommended it to me... and I have to say, having got hold of the kit, I can understand why! It's a stunner!

All the best

Hi again Fred

Pitfalls - yes, the painting instructions... very odd in places - particularly for the interior. But I know you've got plenty of references to to help you out there. The tyres... vinyl = plastic-eating = potentially nasty! I expect aftermarket alternatives are on the way as we speak...

All the best

Hi Rowan,

I certainly hope so! My experience with vinyl has been the gamut. My 30-year old Hasegawa 1/32 F6F Hellcat's vinyl tires have not hurt the styrene hubs, but a recent Italeri Opel Blitz's tires melted into the engine block and surrounding sprues The vinyl cable with the Tamiya 88mm Flak from 1973 has attacked some kits' plastic and not others in my spares box.

Weeeeeeeeeiiiiiirrrd
