One day I was looking at Italeri's 2002 catalogue when I noticed a "Pro-line" of 1:48 aircraft. There were only two planes, one of them a TBF-1C Avenger (8001), the other IL2-m3 (8002). That Avenger had the same boxtop painting as the recently released reboxing of accurate miniatures kit. I presume these are re-issues of AM kit? Should we be expecting an AM sturmovik as well?
I checked Italeri's web site, only found the Avenger, but with a different number (2644). What's going (or what was going) on? Pro-line? A new name for AM kits in Italeri boxes, or a range of pre-finished kits?

Hi Eetu
Yes, the Avenger is a re-box of the AM kit - you can read a review of it here.
The rumour always was that Italeri would be releasing the IL-2 as well, so we'll have to wait and see. It should be amazing value for money if it's priced like the Avenger!
All the best
