Fred first of I just want to say that your bird is looking fantastic so far and you've done a great job on the cockpit.
I'll be starting my 262 very shortly so now it's question time:
Is that RLM 66 you have used for the cockpit and RLM 02 of the internal surfaces of the aircraft? I ask this because some of the color callouts in the instructions are highly questionable IMHO.
Have you used any AM bits on the kit, or is that OOB?
Cheers
Darren

Hi Darren,
Thank you for the compliments. I look forward to yours!
So far everything you see is kit parts--Trumpy is quite generous with goodies, but the metal gear has prominent seam marks. All the cockpit P/E is very nice, though the prototype belts have prominent X stiching at all hardware anchors, not etched into these belts. So far my only complaint.
Yes, that is RLM 66 in the cockpit and 02 on the bulkheads. Some of the kit painting guides are odd, and I have been using my Official Monogram book as guidnace, as well as the Stormbird Project and a ME-262 in South Africa Alot of these pix don't display, but these are color

Hope these help.
Regards,
Fred

The Jumos 004s, 44 pieces each.
The accessories have the nibs to which the industrious amongst us can attach plumbing and wiring. The fit is pretty good on most parts, but some of the cumbustion chamber halves will need filling. Pay close attention to attaching the various segment collars. The exhaust sections have obvious seams.
The four main segments fit well enough that I haven't glued them together.
