Again a thanks guys and for following my request to keep the voting simple, it certainly helps me when toting up the results.

OK, here's how it went: (I know I said I would revert back to listing the entrants in reverse voting order but doing so is a real pain so I am first of all listing the votes in the order the members appeared on the thread, with their total.

Darktrooper (Me262) 1
Rhinosd (P-39Q) 19
matrixone (Do335) 8
wingman (P-40) 1
OllieC-FWOL (Firefly FR.I) 22
SargeUSMC (F4J Blue Angels) 2
smithery (Fw190D-9) 2
Defcon1 (Spitfire Mk Vb) 33
CPTKelley (CR.42 CN) 12
brandydoguk (Spitfire Mk Vb Trop) 5
KeroJP8 (B-29) 12
newtothegame (P-47) 5
TedMamere (Gotha P60C) 16
Holdfast (SB2C-4 Helldiver) 40
archerwin (Spitfire Mk 1) 13
almonkey (Tiger Moth) 3
JPTRR (P-40F) 1
Siderius (Fw 190A) 1

The most number of 1st choice votes went to Holdfast with 8(24 points).
The most number of 2nd choice votes went to Defcon1 with 8 (16 points).
The most number of 3rd choice votes went to Rhinosd with 9 (9 points).

29 members cast their votes, more than last month (26) but not as many as the month before (38) but it was the biggest turnout yet with 18 entries. No ladies this time but we live in hope for November, well done to everyone who entered, nice to see some new faces.

It was neck and neck for a time between the top 2 placed entries and it was still pretty close at the end. It is always a real surprise to me how some of the entries don't do much better. Rest assured there were no bad models here so please don't be put off with entering again and remember you can enter a model up to 3 times. There was one changed vote, which was OK. The voter had queried that with me and I had said that at the rules didn't mention it and therefor as long as I hadn't already counted the votes then there was no issue. However this could cause a major problem, so I'm afraid that vote changing cannot be allowed from now. I know it can be difficult, but it's not life or death

The results:
1st Holdfast Curtiss SB2C-4 Helldiver.

2nd Defcon1 Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vb.

3rd OllieC-FWOL Fairey Firefly FR.I

Congratulations Mal! Keep on with the good work on both the MOM and the models!

Congratulations to all who have participated as well. Voting was a real pain this time as all the models were of high quality!

Congratulations Mal, and the other contestants also. I've seen the Helldiver in the flesh, and can tell you that it fully deserves it's first place.

See you in Telford Mal .

Cheers

All excellent entries.....
The models keep improving each month, and at least for me the voting gets harder. Keep up the good work.....

Congratulations, Gentlemen, on another fine set of entry's and truly artistic representations of what can be accomplished with a bit of plastic, paint, and glue (and alot of talent!) in this hobby that we all share in! The voting seems to get more and more difficult! Keep up the fantastic work...

You have got to wonder at the process that must go on in each voters mind. I actually nearly voted for all 3 Spitfires and although, as we all know, "you just can't have too many Spitfires", I thought it prudent to choose a cuple of different types as well, it was very difficult. How the 2 P-40s got so few vote is amazing, as was the fact that matrixone and CaptKelly did fair much better. That can be said for all the entries really, what we need are many more voters. Any ideas for getting more members to vote? I do believe that the more members vote the more votes everyone will get.
Anyway, I'm humbled to have won, thanks for the votes but I haven't got a clue, at this time, what I will enter for November.

maybe a good way to squeeze in more votes is to perhaps extend the voting to the middle of the following month. For example, the winner for October would have been declared on Novemeber the 15 or so. Just a suggestion! Great work to everyone!

Nice idea Luis, but by the end of the month voting has all but stopped anyway. What we need is for everyone viewing to cast a vote, simple.

Congrats Mal - a well deserved win. Maybe you should get to have a little ribbon next to your name when you win the MOM. A random thought that just hopped in my head.

Do you post an announcement in all the other forums when you open the voting thread? Something like "Voting for Aircraft MOM is now open, please have a look at the entries and vote for your favourites." might encourage more votes.
