Chuck Shanley (CRS) has wriiten a great Feature on how to preserve in model form the stories which might otherwise never be preserved for future generations.

For a 1/72 scale, thats quite a lot of detail. Very nice.

I too would have liked to build a diorama based on my army stories....only problem is, i cant find a decent model that replicates the amphibious vehicle that i operated while i was in the engineers.

This is indeed a nice little diorama! And the background story makes it even more interesting... these guys really risked their lives! Crazy!

Jeremy - Thanks, sometimes you only get one shot at doing something special for a friend, so I did put some effort into it, I'm pleased it came out so well. Mr K liked it, too.
There aren't any model kits of the stuff i worked with either not even many pictures .

Jean-Luc - Thanks, as I said in the piece, "the story makes the dio". Mr K was a really nice guy, hard to believe he was once that crazy.

Now I wish I had taken more photos of it.
