G'day,
Here is the progress of a 48 Tamiya Beaufighter Inf, using the Mk VInf kit as a base, with my own resin products and 'Cutting Edge' decals along with some bits from the 'Spare's Box' and some leftover PE bits, along with the reciever antenia's mounted on or under each wing, made from coper wire and CA glued into place, the landing lights are pieces of artifical jewlery all these added a little realistic look to the model subject.
The exhaust collectors are painted Humbrol Antique Bronze, the canvas control surfaces are finished in Humbrol Matt Black, the remainder is finished in Xtra Colour 'Night'. The cockpit tub has both PE and wire [with white glue knobs] or PE switch plates fixed into position, the Pilot and Observors seats are resin, the trailing and IFF antenia's are invsithread.

Hi Rob, that cockpit looks fantastic. For the finish will you be weathering and if so how? I've always wanted to build an all black nightfighter but can't figure out the weathering process I'd use.
By the way how many beaufighter kits have you actually built?
