I'm looking to add to my collection of modern U.S. carrier aircraft in 1/72 by obtaining an S-3 Viking. I'm having a hard time figuring out if any of the kits are still in production, but that's only part of the battle since I can probably find them on e-bay or somewhere else. Does anybody know if there are any S-3A/B's in 1/72 with recessed panels lines? Ideally I'd like the B version, but the A will suffice if it's a better kit. I read a review about one of the earlier Hasegawa kits and it had raised lines. I'm assuming the Airfix is no better. I saw the Hasegawa Atsugi version at greatmodels.com (Out of Production) and was hoping this might be a winner. Further research on the internet hasn't gotten me anywhere on this fairly unpopular subject - especially in 1/72. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

TIA...Kevin

I have built the ES-3A, and it has the raised panel lines. As I have found with a lot of Hasegawa's kits of the same subject is that they are the same kits with different decals or white metal add on parts. I also do not know of a 1/72 Viking with recessed panel lines.
