Ive heardly never finished a plane or ever thought about it. Im more of a Armor Guy so bare with me.
For a new idea for a diorama, i plan on adding a 1/35 plane passing over a German convoy.
So do any of you Prop-heads have any suggestions? Its planned to be Normandy?

hehe.... i hope no one will be "baring" with you!!! i'll have to close my eyes! :-) sounds like a really cool idea you have. I'll be starting my first plane in January and I expect it to be very different from armor!

Yeah i know your feeling, Ive build a Stuka but it was a long time ago, and i never finished it :-)
I forgot to add in the post, im looking for a 1/35 ALLIED plane.
EDIT
Would a 1/32 plane be "out of scale" with a 1/35 dio. I mean its off by .3, would it be very noticable?
It will be fly over the diorama also. BTW what would be a good way to add the plane, flying over?

with a little modification, an acrylic rod would be good for elevating the aircraft. i've seen an article on site here about it.

If you show the plane in the distance you can use a smaller scale and get a "forced perspective" that will make it appear to be at scale but a distance from the convoy.

Max! You should definitely go for the proposed diorama!
You'll notice that aircraft are pretty big in comparison!! A North American P-51D Mustang (which would probably be a nice aircraft for the proposed setup) is 9.83 meters long and has a wingspan of 11.28 m.
1/35 = Approx 28 cm long and a wingspan of 32 cm
1/32 = Approx 30 cm long and a wingspan of 35 cm
(models vary)
I'd say that you will be able to pull that off if you have some perspective.
There are almost no aircraft available in 1/35, and there are not that many allied planes (European theater post 1943) in 1/32.
Hasegawa has some P-51D Mustangs in 1/32.
There are quite a few decal options. Personally, I like the invasion stripes!
Good luck!
