Hello folks,
Nice to be back after such a looong hibernation... Nice to see that some are raring to go, while others seem to have dozed off, or are probably fiddling around with the Diorama contest entries !
Just wanted to know from the whole Luftwaffe gang... Have you got in your models and all accesory stuff for making your kit? You only have 10 more nail-biting days to go b4 we kick off, so get your stuff in REAL QUICK by then.....
Well, thought I'd keep in touch. Have been pretty busy in the interim period, building a B-24D Liberator, as well as recently(for the past week), scratchbuilding a Martin Baker Mk II ejection seat. Have put up pics of my progress so far in the Rivet Review Section, so do take a look(shameless plug !).
So, do have some more patience, and we can all join in together in 10 more days time. Until then, back I go to my MB seat ............
Cheers,
BP.

Well,
I've got the kit, but still need to pick up some paint. I can still get started on it and paint the stuff I already have paint for. #:-)

I have my kit, but I am still waiting on the paint, and decals. I am almost ready to go. I still need interior information, and to spend a bit more time researching.

Sorry bender, but the rules say : no AM ! At least if I remember posts from Bytepilot correctly. If in doubt, you could PM him !
And that means we'll even have to scratchbuild our own harnesses !
good luck and welcome !

Hi all A/C Guys,
Here are the final rulez for the Luftwaffe Group Build. Suggestions are welcome!
- Any Luftwaffe plane of the following (FW190/Me109/Ju-88/Ju-87) in German markings(no Allied captured stuff, please !)
- Scale can be in 1/32, 1/48 or 1/72.
- ANY KIT can be used, no restrictions. If you get one dirt cheap, go for it !
- OOB models. Preferably, no aftermarket parts. This is b'cos some people(like me ) can't afford them, or have access to them in other parts of the world. However, if you wanna deck up your plane and you have the dough, pls do so, and do let us know !
- Scratchbuilding allowed.
- Decals : Anything goes! Handpainted, kit decals, aftermarket decals, etc.
- Reference material can be shared.
- Dates :
Start date Jan 1, 2003.
End date April 30 2003.
This is open for discussion, but since some of you may be working on two kits for the two builds , I think this is OK. You can work on one instead of watching the paint dry on the other !
Also, I can advance the start date to Dec 1, if everybody has a kit on hand, and doesn't want to wait until Jan to start .
I will be moderating the build, if it's OK by all . Or else, do pick someone else b4 we start!
So, go for your kits, and let's start working on that plastic!
Cheers,
BP.

Good that that one got sorted out soon enough. No probs with AM parts folks! As I said, 'Just let us know'...
After all, if you wanna make your plane look beautiful, why not?
Anyway, I have given my reasons for not using one in the rules itself ;P! I'd rather scratchbuild stuff than may my hard earned $$$ for any parts. Like I just did for my ejection seat... Will be putting completed pics up soon...
Cheers,
BP.

It's Dec 1 Eastern time, so I'm startin now! Spent the afternoon clearing a spot on the desktop, hauling a couple more lights in, (Getting old ya' know.) and replumbing the vent lines on the spraybooth. I will probably just cut parts off of sprues, and sand and fit a bit tonight, then dive in big time tomorrow. I have my decals, paint, and some references, I am still looking for a couple of good interior shots. The only ones I have are later 109s. I may have to assume that the B models were similar.
The race is on!
