im building a focke-wulf 190 at the moment, the A8/R11 1/72 revell kit, it has some really nice scribed detail on the side consoles, and i was wondering what would be the best way to bring this detail out without going o.t.t. i am using an eduard p/e set as well and intend to have the hood slid back to show off this work in the cockpit

i used thinned down oil paint over a coat of gloss varnish, which is probably something like your guache and windowscreen fluid, i maybe should have mentioned that what im trying to highlight is more like panel lines than ribbed structures, but i can use this info for the wheelwells

Are the panel lines recessed, if so, Id shoot a coat of future. When dry, a pin wash into the panel lines to bring them out..If the are raised, apply a wash around then then drybrush a lighter shade of your cockpit colour...
