Thanks Phil. The scale is 1/48.
I understand that the FW 190 A8 from Revell in 1/72 is a very good kit. Sure you will obtain a good result.

its a VERY nice kit! but the canopy seemed to be thick and blurry so i am replacing it, i also got a p/e set but the cockpit detail is good enough on its own, real crisp with nice dial detail. the p/e set will let me make a kit with the canopy open to show off whats in there

You´re right. The canopy is not good. What brand is the canopy you´re using ? I have the same kit in stock and it will be usefull to know it.
Please post some pics when you finish it.

Hi Carlos
Nice model ! But I have some nitpics.
1. The bom ist wrong way on the bomb cart/ bomb lifter.
2. I don't think the 4 MG 151/20 Rüstsatz was used on the A-8 (I remember the A-5 having this but I have never seen a photo of an A-8 with it!)
best regards
Steffen

Hi Steffen:
I also didn´t seen a photo of an A8 R1, but looking in my sources I found information that a pair (2) of these were built (Squadron FW 190 In Action - AJ Press FW 190 A/F/G/S) so I dicided to built it in this version because I want to have a different A8, and really I like it
Take note about the bomb in the rack, thanks.

Hi Carlos
Well if you like it, it be so. My main Fw 190 source is Peter Rodeike "Jagdflugzeug Focke Wulf Fw 190 A - Fw 190 Dora - Tank 152" . Here you find on page 265.
Let's say there were 2 Prototypes. They would not have reached frontline units. Furthermore a Gruppenkommandeur (=your markings) would not have use a poor performance a/c ....
I prefer a/c that have existed for my models, but as stated above: If you want it this way I'm fine with it I just wanted to let you know in case you were not aware
best wishes from Germany

Thanks for your coments. I also like and have many kits that are exact reproductions of real aircrafts of WW2, but sometimes I also create some like this one because it gives my pleasure. Modelling is my beloved hobby and the first and more important part of it is fun !

Hi Carlos, you have a beauty of a bird here. I dont usually post on aircraft but your bird caught my eye. Also the dio base as well. The shrub weeds in the back could these be from diomaterials? cheers Kevin

Hi Kevin:
Thanks for your nice words. The base is one that I built two years ago, I don´t remember exactly the brand of the shrubs but I believe they are Diomaterials.
Regards.
