Harri (JetProvost) sent me this link, Check out the "Merlins" (engins not lots of our Merlin) (the clips are lower on the page) this is incredible CGI and an awsome sight which also reminds me of the oft quted line, "you just can't have too many Spitfires" and/or Mosquitos, in this case. I watched the clip at least 5 times straight off and I'm grinning from ear to ear.

There are other clips which I have not yet checked out.

Hi Mal
You had me worried for a minute! Lots of little Merlins running around - when my girlfriend's staying over!... I could get into trouble...
All the best
Rowan
PS - the other clips look even MORE exciting! I've got to check out the Shiden-Kai!

Hi all!
Yes it's a great site... I've already seen the 1945 movie before but the new ones are just incredible!
Look at the tailwheel of the Shiden-Kai... the effect when it touches the ground! What is even more fantastic are the "special effects". The heat waves in the background, the realistic movements of the planes, working ailerons, flaps etc... if this guys is not contacted by the movie industry it would be a shame!

I a_ t_t__ly s_u_n_ed.
I WANT MORE...
Superb....I was grinning so wide, I've cracked my lip around the left ear.
I agree the tail wheel on the landing Shiden-Kai is unervingly realistic...but also the way the ground crew rush in to put the chocks in place.
I've watched them all again and again.
The "Merlins" is just awesome. The Mossy is fantastic...and the sound....there's nothing like the music of a Merlin, never mind two, to getting my neck hairs bristling and a shiver down the spine.
Some have some music which I think is not needed. Better to hear just the kites.
Brilliant!
Cheers...gotta go...need another fix.
