Does anyone know the colour that photo-recon Lightnings were painted in during the second world war? I've found a few photos and they all seem to vary in shade, although I suppose this could be down to how old the paint was on the aircraft. I always seem to remember that blue weathered faster than most other colours.

Is there a model colour on the market or will I have to have a go at mixing my own?

It was called haze . From the picture, intermediate blue or USN blue-gray might be a close match.
